Spontaneous works on canvas board, instinctive and raw, exploring different colour themes. In these works Katja Wittmer uses various textures, colours and patterns in an intuitive way, being entirely led by her subconscious. This work is 20 x 24 cm, painted on canvas board. In her mixed media works, Katja Wittmer creates colour compositions that invite to curiously explore beyond what is apparent at first glance.
 
Katja’s technique incorporates dripping paint, thick textures and multi-layered colours. She uses these materials to create many layers, covering and uncovering, offering a glimpse into what lingers underneath. Using this technique she creates unique works of abstract expressionism which challenge the boundaries of perception.
